Behavioural difficulties

Are you finding your son or daughter increasingly oppositional and defiant? Do they seem to be pushing the boundaries more and more everyday? Behavioural difficulties in children are common but the underlying causes of these behaviours are often not given enough attention. Behind difficult behaviours are often emotional difficulties. There are also unhelpful patterns that form in families that can be tough to break, even when you know they aren’t solving any problems (for example, yelling and smacking). If you are struggling with your child’s behaviour, or your child is struggling to act in appropriate ways, it may be a sign that there are other problems under the surface that need to be attended to. Dr Marsden can help you and your son or daughter to understand and make sense of the current difficulties and will help to develop a plan to get things back on track and make life easier for you and your family.
