Beth Edwards

Clinical Psychologist

Beth is a qualified clinical psychologist with over 18 years’ experience working with a range of mental health concerns in children, young people, and adults. Beth has experience working in the clinical and forensic fields of psychology, with all age groups. Beth can assist parents with toddlers and young children, whether it be needing a little help working through parenting worries or some bigger concerns with behaviour, emotionality, developmental and academic concerns. Beth similarly enjoys assisting young people work though some of the challenging years of high school or university with self-esteem and identity concerns and academic stress and anxiety. Beth has also worked extensively with adults and children who have been exposed to trauma, with experience in the military and policing environment.

Beth believes in a personalised approach to each client and works with each person or family to develop realistic goals achievable for themselves and/or their child. Beth will conduct a comprehensive assessment to make sure that the most appropriate treatment option is developed and utilises a range of therapy options including Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Attachment Based Therapies and Interventions, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Beth holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Charles Sturt University, and a Bachelor of Psychology and Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from the University of Wollongong. Beth maintains continued professional development and supervision to be assured that her practice remains evidence based and of a high quality.
