Dr Ashley McColl

Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar

(on maternity leave, returning mid 2019)

Dr Ashley McColl completed a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology in the UK and has recently moved to Australia to work and live. Dr Ashley has extensive experience in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies and has an interest in working with people aged 65 and over, but has experience working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages.

Dr Ashley is committed to empowering her clients to take control of their lives and make the changes needed to improve their wellbeing. She can work with you to build a greater understanding of the difficulties you experience, and support you to collaboratively develop strategies to enable you to reach your goals.

She can help you to work through common problems like:

Dr Ashley is skilled in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She can work with you to find the therapeutic model that is right for you, and helps you to live a life that is meaningful and enjoyable.

 

Education and Experience

Dr Ashley McColl completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Master of Arts in Psychology with Honours from Dundee University, UK. Over the past 7 years Dr McColl has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including community mental health, acute inpatient care in psychiatric hospital settings, and outpatient clinics.
