Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Team Leader, Stress & Trauma Centre
Dr Evelina Medin completed her undergraduate psychology degree in Wollongong and doctoral clinical psychology training at Royal Holloway, University of London. She has more than 10 years of experience working in psychology and mental health.
Dr Evelina works with people who struggle with a range of difficulties, including mental health problems like depression and anxiety, as well as difficulties relating to everyday life including work stress, relationship and communication problems, adjustment to life changes, bereavement and other losses.
Dr Evelina’s specialist area of expertise is working with people who have experienced trauma (e.g. accidents, assaults, abuse and neglect), and who have distressing memories, thoughts and feelings relating to these experiences. She also has a special interest in working with people who have experienced infertility/difficulties conceiving, pregnancy loss, birth trauma and difficulties adjusting to parenthood.
Dr Evelina is trained to deliver evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Her clients describe her as warm, caring and professional. She is committed to working flexibly, tailoring treatments to meet individual needs, and creating a safe space to make sense of your difficulties.
