Provisional Psychologist & Therapy Assistant
Ellen graduated with first-class honours in Psychology from the University of Wollongong and is a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist (see https://www.esdm.co/esdm-therapists). She has worked extensively in early intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder, with both children and their families.
Now practising as a Provisional Psychologist and Therapy Assistant at MCP Kids Clinic, Ellen continues to work primarily with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum. Her focus areas include social thinking/social skills therapy, ESDM therapy, and other aspects of child/adolescent psychology.
Ellen can also assist in areas such as:
- Emotion regulation
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Child behavioural concerns
- Self-esteem and confidence building
Ellen adopts an individualised approach in her work with each child and their family/ies – developing clear and achievable goals across multiple settings in collaboration with her clients and supervisor. Above all, Ellen passionately believes that diversity and neurodiversity are strengths to be celebrated and develops/conducts therapy with this conviction in mind.
