Education & Experience

Melody has completed her training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Wollongong
and is a current PhD (Clinical Psychology) candidate. Her research focuses on the
relationship between social functioning, loneliness, and social support along the psychosis
continuum. Her research contributes to the current understanding on early risk for psychosis
and draws attention to the need to offer support for individuals who feel lonely and/or
experience poor social functioning, albeit without a mental health diagnosis. This further
highlights the importance of promoting mental wellbeing and recovery beyond clinical
symptoms.
