The P.O.K.A Lunch Club is a workshop for parents of kids with ADHD (P.O.K.A.) that will be running over 6 weeks, with weekly Zoom meetings between 1pm and 2pm on consecutive Wednesdays. This will give parents that are working the opportunity to tune in on their lunch break or from the comfort of their home.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about their child’s ADHD, from the basics to the more complex and less known about elements of ADHD. There will be opportunities to ask questions about ADHD or your child specifically. It is a closed group and numbers are capped to 10 families to ensure that it is a personal and confidential experience. The cost of the course is $300 including workshop materials and is the total cost per family – whether one or both parents choose to attend. It is held online via Zoom and participants will be able to join in their lunch break from work or home (it’s OK for two parents to log in from different locations).
This workshop will cover:
- Beyond inattention and hyperactivity: what else do you need to know
- The developmental trajectory of an ADHD child
- School problems and how to prepare for them
- Managing big emotions at home
- Fostering hope through seeing the strengths in ADHD
The start date for this workshop is Wednesday 28th April 2021. Places are limited so best to book in fast to secure your place.
