Clinical Psychologist

Aidan is a gentle, experienced and authentic clinical psychologist who works with both adults and adolescents. With a deep focus on areas like childhood trauma, grief, self-esteem, mood and anxiety disorders, and ADHD, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his practice. He has extensive experience helping people navigate complex mental health challenges, including PTSD (childhood & adulthood), personality disorders, and emotion regulation difficulties. Aidan strongly values getting to know his clients and building sturdy, trusting relationships with them. He takes the time to understand each person’s needs and adapts his approach to make sure it works best for them.

Aidan’s path into psychology is deeply personal, shaped by his own journey toward self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion. His curiosity about people and what makes them tick grew through traveling to over 60 countries, living abroad, and taking on a variety of roles. Having experienced what it feels like to be an outcast in his own childhood, Aidan’s passion for understanding others has been a driving force in both his life and work, allowing him to connect with people from all walks of life.

Professionally, Aidan has built extensive experience working with trauma survivors, including three years at South Coast Private Hospital where he specialized in intensive trauma processing using EMDR and CPT. He has also worked in both regional and metropolitan private practice clinics, supporting individuals with complex and longstanding mental health conditions. His broad range of experience and compassionate approach have helped shape his deep understanding of people’s struggles and strengths.

Aidan’s bucket list is as adventurous as his professional life – he’s already traveled to over 60 countries but is determined to reach 100, and he dreams of camping under the stars all over outback Australia. When he’s not conquering the great outdoors with activities like camping, hiking, running, fishing, and tennis (bringing out his former junior tennis champ skills), you’ll find him kicking back with a rom-com or drama on Netflix. Aidan’s the kind of guy who’s equally at home in the great outdoors and cosy nights in — proof that you can make the most of both worlds.
