Alana is a clinical psychologist who is dedicated to working with children, adolescents, and parents, who are negotiating challenging circumstances, emotional upheaval, and difficult behaviors. Alana believes in providing holistic, collaborative, evidence-based psychological support, and using creative strategies that are tailored to the individual. She particularly enjoys forming an understanding of a person’s unique nature and environment, and collaborating with them and their families so they can combat challenges, reach goals, and get more out of life.

Alana has received formal training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), child protection, and cognitive assessment. She is also trained in a range of parenting programs including Triple P, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and 1,2,3 Magic, and has received introductory training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Integrated CBT (MiCBT), and Schema Therapy.

Alana is passionate about intervening early, increasing awareness, building skills, and advocating for those she works with. She is constantly humbled by the opportunities to be invited into another’s world, and awed by the courage and progress that can be achieved in spite of great hurdles.
